CHARNWOOD STABLES is a beautiful yard in Newmarket’s Hamilton Road.  The boxes are very light and airy with good ventilation and ensure that the horses are always very relaxed.     

We have a mechanical horse exerciser and our own stalls. We have direct access out on to Newmarket Heath.

Sue D’Arcy runs the office and is Assistant Trainer.  Our senior staff comprise Aubrey Knights as Head Lad, previously with top trainers such as Martin Pipe, Geoff Wragg and David Morley. We have been joined by Paul's brother David as Second Head Lad. David was apprenticed to Sir Mark Prescott and rode winners for him and latterly worked for Sir Michael Stoute, where he looked after Derby winner NORTH LIGHT.
Louise Bevan, very competent Head Girl and Travelling Head Lad and Kipper Stead, one of the very best riders in Newmarket.  They are backed up by an excellent team, including  work rider Rachel D’Arcy, who features in many of the photos on the website.
