On paper this looked between FOREST MAGIC and Allergy and that was exactly how the race panned out in the finish.
Both were held up in the early stages as Fellow Ship and Double Mystery made the early running but the former duo were at the head of affairs in the final two furlongs. At this stage the winner held the advantage towards the centre but forfeited the lead when hanging left and swerving towards the stands' rail inside the final furlong. Once he had the rail to keep him straight he stayed on strongly to towards the finish.
He is considered green and a baby by trainer Paul D'Arcy but clearly possesses plenty of ability and can give his handler something to dream about during the winter. Allergy travelled well entering the final two furlongs but was just outstayed. She did little wrong and should also have her share of luck in her second season.
